Developing your Voice (Intermediate Watercolor Class)

Prerequisite: Completion of Beginning Watercolor Part 2 – From Technique to Expression or instructor approval

Intermediate Watercolor is designed for painters who are ready to move beyond instruction and into artistic identity.

This series focuses on refining your voice through stronger composition, cohesive color choices, expressive brushwork, and intentional use of light. Students learn to design paintings independently, edit with confidence, and develop a recognizable visual approach.

Each module explores one advanced concept while reinforcing technical control. The emphasis shifts from “how to paint” to “what do I want to say?”

You will explore:

·         Emotional light and mood

·         Cohesive color language

·         Advanced composition and simplification

·         Expressive brushwork

·         Depth and atmosphere

·         Series development

·         Larger format confidence

·         Personal project refinement

This class offers thoughtful critique, meaningful discussion, and space to grow at a deeper level.
