Seasons of Trees Collection

Trees, like people, are shaped and molded by their environment, and each one is unique and beautiful.

They embrace and endure their circumstances, weather storms, survive bone-chilling cold, drink up withering sunlight and share their fragrant blossoms with their neighbors.

May you be reminded of the beauty of trees and be encouraged and inspired by their strength, flexibility and endurance.

Autumn Rain

Autumn

Falling leaves signal the beginning of a tree’s dormancy, a period of rest and healing with a promise of life in the spring.

We all need to rest and recuperate from the stress and trials of our daily lives. But to accomplish that, we must give ourselves permission to rest.

Trees are patient in this regard. They rest and wait. If we are willing to notice, humans can learn patience from trees.

Stained Glass

Winter

Our lives, like winter, can be cold and harsh, but can also be beautiful if we choose to see it.

Knowing that there is beauty even through difficult times can help us to endure.

Like this tree, we catch and filter the junk and pollution heaped upon us, all the while becoming more beautiful and making the world a better place.

Cosmic Blossoms

Spring

Nature’s fragrant blossoms burst onto our senses in the springtime, reminding us that renewal and life are infectious.

We too can share our blossoms of joy with the world.

Give of yourself like this tree does and in the process, your own problems will diminish.

The Story

Have you ever stopped to admire an amazing tree?

Whether it be its fragrant blossoms, fascinating bark, delicate leaves or unique shape that catches your eye, there is something intriguing and soothing about sitting under a tree.

When we contemplate the life story of a tree, listen to its rustling leaves, or simply soak in its peaceful presence, we are changed.

Trees also have a natural cycle that we humans can learn from.

As a watercolor painter, that cycle inspired me.

Here are some ways in which we can be inspired by trees:

AUTUMN - Rest

Yes, it's necessary to work so that we can live.

But without rest we falter, make mistakes, and lose our joy.

Trees rest, and so should we.

WINTER - Beauty

We often fail to gain the much needed refreshment to sustain us, whether we are besieged by health, financial or emotional trials, super busy or just stuck indoors.

Trees are beautiful, even in the winter.

Noticing nature's beauty can help us to endure the rough times.

SPRING - Blossom

Remember how it felt when you did something special for someone else?

Helping others helps us to forget our own troubles.

It truly is better to give than to receive.

Trees give their blossoms and so should we.

SUMMER - Grow

A time of growth and warmth, trees take advantage of the summer sunshine and rain to flourish and share their vibrant beauty.

We can grow and gain refreshment from nature around us, if we take the time to stop and enjoy it.

No matter what season it is for you, trees can remind you of what is truly important.

I want to give you a print from my Seasons of Trees collection to help you to recall those memories of actually being under the boughs of a majestic tree.

Just imagine yourself there. Ahh…

And now you have the energy to finish your day!
